Top 12 Frequently Asked Questions about Boudoir Photography

What women are asking us when they inquire..

The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Do you share my images?

No. Our number 1 priority making sure our clients are comfortable. Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren't quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse aren't for anyone else's eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! When it comes to whether or not your images are share you have 3 options. 1. You can sign release to NOT have any of your images shared, so no one but you and the photographer see them. 2. You can sign release saying YES that all of your images can be shared on social media. 3. Or you can say YES but ONLY in the “Women’s VIP Group” . Our VIP is a private women only group that you must be accepted to be a part of.

We are an all women team , the photographer,  her assistant, the stylist, and yourself will be the only people in the studio during your private experience.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

No, you definitely don't have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! You can still look and feel sexy during your experience by simply wearing items from home. When you book we will send you a whole guide of outfit ideas for your session.

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, our most popular payment plan option is our PRE PAYMENT PLAN.  You book your session as far as a year in advance and by doing so you will receive free luxury bonuses to use during your session! My clients also love it because by the time of their session their images are already paid for, which is much less stress on them rather than having a big purchase all at once! They get to receive their images back right away!

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes, we believe its an important part of the experience for you to be pampered! We do have an in house hair/makeup artist that will glam you up before your session! It will give you a confidence boost and help ensure you look and feel your absolute best! Our amazing team can help you complete your perfect look whether you want to “look like your natural self” or go all out and go for a “full on glamour look”.  Having your make over before your session, is one of the best things you can do to have a rockin’ hot shoot. You make Pinterest ideas to share with the stylists before your shoot.

Do you photoshop my images?

Yes, I do edit your images. We do basic edits for light and color before your ordering appointment. Then after you choose your favorite images you like to purchase we do a glamour edit on your images. Which includes a skin blur and retouch of any blemishes, for example (acne, bruises, and cellulite). Part of the process of accepting yourself also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don't like. If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren't thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing you to accentuate your favorite features to make you look and feel your absolute best !

Where should I buy outfits?

Buying outfits isn’t mandatory because at CBP we supply a client lingerie closet for our clients to use of over 400 pieces ranging in sizes from S-6XL. 99% of our clients take advantage of our client closet and use what we have for their session, as we stock the best outfits and know what looks best on all body shapes. We also hand select items for you to fit your body shape perfectly at your fitting appt day of your session. When you book we send you a guide on outfit ideas and locations on where to purchase some of our favorite pieces.  Here is a long list to choose from with different style and sizing options, Amazon, Victoria's Secret, Forever21, Torrid, Adoreme.com, SHEIN, Hips and Curve.

What type of print products do you have?

We offer luxury albums, and heirloom boxes with mounted 5x7 prints in them! Our albums are our client favorite product to display their images for many years to come. With our boxes we have 3 option choices, a wooden box, a gold glass box, and a leather envelope.  I absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical print, it's so surreal to see yourself like that!

Do you offer digitals?

All of our packages have the option to choose the digital option to have release to your favorite images to do with as you wish. Our bigger packages even include a luxury flash drive of your photos!

I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

It’s expected to be nervous before your session. For this reason we offer a full experience at CBP, including a pre-session consult to chat about your session and get to know you more, and we also send you lots of information leading up to the day of your session so you feel more prepared. Once you arrive at the studio you get pampered by our stylist as you enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, (which always helps the nerves)!! Generally 5 minutes into your session you feel and look like a goddess and forget all about any nerves you may of had.

How many outfits should I bring?

You are welcome to bring as many outfits as you like. Although we offer a 400 piece client closet sizing from S-6XL, so typically most of our clients just use items we supply! Over time we have found the best outfits to every body shape!

Should I get to my shoot early?

No, at CBP we run on a tight schedule as we have several sessions in a day, for that reason we normally tell our client not to arrive super early and to arrive on time as scheduled. Each session varies in time so we don’t like our clients to come early and have to wait additional time.

Where is your studio located?

Our studio is located at 2 East Tioga St. Tunkhannock Pa. We are in a brick building in a cute little town on the second floor. We are also opening up a satellite studio location in Upstate New York come spring time!

We are in business to empower women and couples and that is exactly what we will do.
