Breastfeeding Session | Scranton Boudoir Photographer
“Miss I” didn’t start her boudoir journey with a breastfeeding session. Nope! She started working with us here at our Scranton boudoir studio when she was pre-baby!
She wanted to document her motherhood journey, and we started with a sultry session before she was pregnant. I wanted to include all of her images on this blog post because she’s coming back in for her FOURTH session this year! We love how committed she is to loving and documenting her body through all the amazing changes that come with bringing life into the world.
The first session we used a dark theme with a sheer sparky bodysuit! Here’s a similar one, if you’re eyeing it for yourself. We shot with the neon “Til Death” sign in the studio, and I loved the ambient lighting that created a moody vibe for her big day. And then we pivoted to shoot a more royal look! “Miss I” changed into a blue bodysuit, and we used a crown and jewels to capture the regality of this era. I loved the harness chain over her outfit so much!
But this was just the first step on her journey that led up to her breastfeeding session.
The next time we met up in the studio, she was expecting!!! I love when pregnant mamas make their way into the studio at Chelsea Brinton Photography for some self-love! We are all about body positivity here, and I KNOW how much change you experience when you’re growing a little one!! So we pampered her for this session and made sure she felt beautiful! I loved the cloud set she chose to use for this; it was the perfect pregnant vibe!
And this leads us to our breastfeeding session! When her little babe arrived, we had her back in the studio for a lifestyle shoot of her nourishing her baby. We went for a candlelight, skin-to-skin look to really capture the warm, intimate nature of those early days postpartum. “Miss I” borrowed a sheer robe from the client closet so she could feel beautiful and put together while snuggling her babe.
It’s always such an honor to document someone’s journey. I know “Miss I” is going to look back on this entire experience with such profound respect for her body, and she’s going to have the photos to prove herself right.
